Having worked on pressure
filters since 1992, and provided independent service since 2009, Tony
Miller has become a highly-respected filtration equipment subject
matter expert. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and patent holder with a
background in generating cutting-edge
designs through focused
R&D to improve equipment performance & reliability, reduce
manufacturing costs and adapt to markets/applications.
Tony has implemented 3D solid modeling SolidWorks CAD software and FEA/fatigue
analysis to optimize and ensure accurate drawings, reliable equipment and
minimal assembly time. He is a certified Allen Bradley PLC programmer and has
profitably lead engineering, manufacturing and
installation of
custom filtration equipment packages.
Tony is comfortable working through both business and technical issues with a
wide range of employees, customers, contractors and distributors to create
win-win situations. He
has thus formed many positive relationships with people in all
areas of the filtration industry, from hands-on laborers, highly technical
engineers, project managers and senior executives.
While Engineering Manager at Pneumapress, Tony led his team to
produce both high quality equipment and solid
profit margins. He was accountable for budgets, finance,
cost analysis and margins for projects ranging from $500k to $40M, including
standalone filters as well as complete filtration equipment
systems, supplied through engineering firms or directly to the end user.
Tony has an MBA and brings a broad business understanding, stemming from a diverse background in mechanical/electrical/process
engineering, controls, programming and project management, sales and
manufacturing, as well as large & small company operations. This gives him
valuable insight when coordinating between these groups and provides the
necessary background and understanding to achieve success within the
bigger picture.
Tony is a certified PgMP and brings a global
perspective, having worked
closely with clients worldwide, traveling extensively and working face-to-face
to better understand personalities and leverage cultural subtleties. He has
managed projects from the point of sale, to
manufacturing and through final commissioning, including
business development and extensive on-site work in the United States, Europe,
Asia, South America and the Middle East. He has helped achieve success in
multiple industries within international markets, including
mining/chemical/industrial/food/bio-fuel projects across the globe, with
manufacturing in Brazil, China & Mexico and engineering in India. Tony has
a successful record in international sales, service and outsourcing.
He has been involved in two successful acquisitions from the inside, including being a
shareholder during the sale of a 25-person privately held company and playing a
key role in the subsequent integration into a 15,000-person public corporation.
Tony also
provides sales & marketing groups with practical engineering
solutions, representative small scale demonstrations, job site tours and
technical sales presentations. He has established long-term business
relationships through successful projects, respectful open
communication and creative problem solving.
